Hardware support

Support some nVidia and AMD PATA chipsets. Currently supported chipsets (kernel 2.6.25):

• nVidia nForce 2 and 3 (UDMA/133)
• nVidia CK804 and MCP04 (UDMA/133)
• nVidia MCP51 (UDMA/133)
• nVidia MCP55 (UDMA/133)
• nVidia MCP61 (UDMA/133)
• nVidia MCP65 (UDMA/133)
• nVidia MCP67 (UDMA/133)
• nVidia MCP73 (UDMA/133)
• nVidia MCP77 (UDMA/133)

ATA Disk: PIO, MWDMA, UDMA

Limitations

None

Known Problems

Nvidia devices rely upon ACPI for cable detection. Without ACPI you may therefore experience problems with 40wire cables.

A small number of incompatibilities with ATAPI DMA have been reported and are still being investigated.
